Modular expansion joints

The KPRM expansion joints are constructed of two steel profiles between which there is an elastomeric sealing profile wedged in the steel cavities to form a module enabling the nominal displacement of 80 mm (± 40 mm). Vehicle passage is carried out on steel profiles, and compensating the displacement of the edge of the expansion gap takes place through the altering width of the gap between the steel profiles.

The KPRM expansion joints are manufactured in the following variants:

single-module MS/1, MSH/1 devices for road facilities - consisting of two extreme steel F profiles, one elastomeric sealing profile and elements anchoring the device in the bridge structure; multi-module MS/2 ÷ MS/9 and MSH/2 ÷ MSH/9 devices for road facilities - consisting of two extreme steel F profiles anchored at the edge of the bridge structure, at least one - intermediate - 2E steel profile and at least two elastomeric sealing profiles;

The KPRM expansion joints are manufactured in the following variants:

composite (hybrid replacement) in which all of the surfaces exposed to direct atmospheric conditions, chemicals (deicing agents, greases, oils, etc.) are made of stainless steel, with top noise insulation in the form of noise suppressing pads made of black steel protected against corrosion or stainless steel, with bottom noise insulation in the form of deformable elements, filled with sound absorbing material, for mining damage, equipped with additional structural elements to enable transverse displacements.
